Cold Fusion Talk Spreads Across the Web

The cold fusion and Andrea Rossi story continues to be of interest across the web, in spite of only sporadic news appearing as of late.  Interest is spread across a significant part of the globe and is covered in sites dedicated to the e-Cat and cold fusion as well as business sites, technical sites, science sites, renewable energy sites and a variety of sites that have nothing to do with any of the above.  Below I have included a list of referrers to this site (other sites that have included a link to an article or information on e-Cat Site) over the last 30 days.  I would like to point out that December was one of the slower months in terms of interest in this subject and that e-Cat Site is only one of at least 80 sites covering cold fusion and Andrea Rossi, and this site is not the most popular site covering this subject matter.  Also, this list does not account for the individuals that access this site independently.  Typically visits to this site from individuals who are not referred from other sites is two to three times the number referred from third parties.

This information is provided to me from the blog software and most, if not all, blog operators have access to similar information.  I only post it here to give people an idea of the breadth of interest in this subject.  We all have our favorite sites and favorite sources of information and most of us probably are not aware of the number of places where references to the 21St Century cold fusion story appear and are being discussed.

As you look over the list, some source of referrals will not be a surprise, while others may be.  Some of the links below will take you to the specific thread where this subject matter is being discussed.  Unfortunately, some links are inaccessible and still others sites have no link.  However, I would recommend clicking on some of the links listed because discussion on many of the sites listed is interesting…but be prepared to use a translator of some sort because many of them are not in English.

Following the links I have included some other information of interest, including the slides from Francesco Celani’s planned presentation at the World Sustainable Energy Conference and a very informative interview given recently by Dr. Edmund Storms.

List of referrers over the past 30 days:

Dr. Storms on Internet Radio

Long-time cold fusion researcher and advocate Dr. Edmund Storms recently gave an informative interview on “The Space Show,” an Internet radio show dedicated to coverage of space exploration and related topics.  The interview is two hours long but it is well-worth the listen.  Perhaps the most entertaining part of the interview is an individual who e-mails a question to Dr. Storms and then actually calls the show to protest Dr. Storms’ answer.  This gentleman expresses utter disbelief that cold fusion could be real because this is no theory.  Such people were a topic of discussion in the last article posted here and this gentleman is the absolute epitomy of the “caveman theorist,” refusing to believe anything that does not fit into his limited and narrow understanding of the world and science.  It would be quite comical if it were not for the fact that the scientific community, especially in the United States, is absolutely rife with this type of individual.  This gentleman was quite rude and had to be asked several times by the show’s host to be settle down and listen.  Dr. Storms handled the situation quite gracefully and referred to this pathoskep to lenr-canr.org, although the radio host and Dr. Storms both gave him the wrong address for the site!  The caller is going to have an absolute fit when he actually goes to the site and finds that it is not at the address given.  Surely he will take this as even more evidence that cold fusion is a hoax!

Download Dr. Storms’ interview here.  “Caveman theorist” calls in at the 1:00 hour mark in the interview.

I have been haunting the comment sections of major article categories (as well as emailing every journalist and editor I can find) like “global warming,” “climate change,” “oil-sands,” “coal,” and such. Was one of the ten most active people on Discus! I am a LENR activist and this is the primer I’ve been circulating (in case anyone wants to join me in spreading the word).

There is a new clean energy technology that is one tenth the cost of coal. LENR using nickel. Incredibly: Ni+H(heated under pressure)=Cu+lots of heat. This phenomenon (LENR) has been confirmed in hundreds of published scientific papers: http://lenr-canr.org/acrobat/RothwellJtallyofcol.pdf

“Over 2 decades with over 100 experiments worldwide indicate LENR is real, much greater than chemical…” –Dennis M. Bushnell, Chief Scientist, NASA Langley Research Center

“Energy density many orders of magnitude over chemical.” Michael A. Nelson, NASA

“Total replacement of fossil fuels for everything but synthetic organic chemistry.” –Dr. Joseph M. Zawodny, NASA

According to Forbes, electricity will be “too cheap to meter” if Rossi’s Oct 28 demonstration succeeds: http://www.forbes.com/sites/markgibbs/2011/10/17/hello-cheap-energy-hello-brave-new-world/

Here’s the latest, according to MSNBC it passed the test: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/45153076/ns/technology_and_science-science/#.TrNo9rJqwe4

By the way, here is a current survey of all the companies that are bringing LENR to commercialization: http://www.cleantechblog.com/2011/08/the-new-breed-of-energy-catalyzers-ready-for-commercialization.html

The more people who are aware of this technology, the less likely the elites can take it away to protect the status quo. Also, people generally need some time before they can psychologically accept this as legitimate, so the sooner the better. Finally, hopefully the threat of LENR emerging will kill many fossil fuel projects in their infancy (plus oil-sands and fracking, both of which I find obscene).
